Modern ventilation systems require not only high-quality metal but also high manufacturing precision, air-tightness, and speed of installation. That’s why at the RIM Ventilation Products Factory, we use TDF integrated flange technology for air ducts.
Unlike traditional busbar-and-rail connections, the integrated TDF flange is formed directly from the metal of the duct itself and becomes part of it. This approach ensures a more rigid structure, high precision, reliability, and speeds up system installation.
At the RIM plant, production is carried out on modern automated lines, which ensures consistent product quality and high order fulfillment speed.
- High tightness
Air tightness is one of the key parameters of a ventilation system. Air loss leads to reduced system efficiency, increased energy consumption, and additional load on the equipment.
The integrated TDF flange reduces the number of individual connection elements and potential air leakage points.
Additionally, the RIM plant uses technology for automatic injection of sealant into the Pittsburgh seam directly during the production of the air duct.
The Pittsburgh seam is the primary longitudinal seal of rectangular air ducts. This section is often critical to the overall system’s airtightness.
Automatic sealant injection ensures:
- uniform filling of the seam along the entire length
- absence of gaps and human factor
- stable product quality regardless of batch size
- additional protection against air leaks
- increasing the overall tightness of the system
Unlike manual application of sealant on site, sealing occurs directly on the production line and is controlled automatically.
This is especially important for:
- large commercial properties
- smoke removal systems
- facilities with increased energy efficiency requirements
- systems with high requirements for the tightness class
By combining an integrated TDF flange, high manufacturing precision, and automatic sealant injection into the Pittsburgh seam, the RIM plant ensures reliable and leak-proof connections.

Pittsburgh’s automatic sealant injection into the seam provides additional duct sealing during the manufacturing process.
- High structural rigidity
The TDF flange is an extension of the duct itself, and not a separate element that is additionally attached.
This provides a number of benefits:
- higher load resistance
- reducing the risk of deformation during transportation
- stability of the structure during installation
- less chance of damage to connections
A rigid design is especially important when working with large cross-sections and long sections of air ducts.
Cutting a single air duct on the VALTOR SYSTEMS automated line takes no more than 2 minutes. However, since the line simultaneously handles up to four blanks at different stages of the process, the time spent cutting and bending each subsequent air duct is reduced to 40 seconds. After this, the blank is assembled into a closed box, its longitudinal seam is rolled, and a corner is inserted into each of the duct’s eight corners (see Fig. 3).
In practice, installation companies find it more convenient to work with structures that maintain their geometry during transportation and installation.

- Correct geometry of air ducts
Air ducts with the correct geometry form a straight line without twisting, distortion, or other deformations, allowing the ventilation system to be assembled precisely according to design parameters. Highly accurate geometry facilitates installation, reduces the number of on-site adjustments, and ensures proper joining of components.
The absence of deformations also has a positive effect on the aerodynamic characteristics of the system: air flow turbulence is reduced, vibration levels and network resistance are lowered, which contributes to more efficient operation of the entire ventilation system.
High precision is achieved through automated production. During the manufacturing process, the blank undergoes successive stages of formation with high-precision metalworking. The line automatically creates technological elements and stiffeners that maintain the stable shape of the duct along the entire length of the product.
Reinforced metal corners provide additional structural rigidity, securing the integrated TDF flange at a precise angle. This reduces the risk of deformation during both transport and installation.
The precision of this process cannot be replicated by the most common method of air duct production in Kyrgyzstan, using manual machines, making RIM technology unique in the Kyrgyz ventilation market.
This approach ensures not only a more accurate installation, but also stable operation of the ventilation system throughout its entire service life.

- Quality stability
In manual production, the quality of products may depend on the human factor.
Automated lines allow:
- reduce the likelihood of errors
- ensure repeatability of products
- maintain consistent quality across large batches
- reduce the number of deviations
This is especially important for large-scale construction projects where a large number of identical elements are required.
At the RIM plant, production parameters are pre-set and controlled by equipment, ensuring consistent results regardless of order size.

- High production speed without loss of quality
Delivery speed directly impacts the construction timeframe of a facility.
Modern automated lines allow:
- quickly produce large volumes of products
- reduce production times
- produce different types of products in parallel
- reduce the risk of delivery delays
Thanks to its high level of automation, the RIM plant is able to quickly fulfill large orders without sacrificing quality.
This is especially important for construction companies and contractors working to tight deadlines.
